Maybe “Quinn The Younger” Is Not Such A RINO?

We’ve been bashing the political consulting firm of Richard Quinn & Associates pretty good lately, but even we were surprised to see the name of former House Majority Leader Rick Quinn listed as a “host” on a recent fundraiser for State Treasurer Converse Chellis – one of the biggest RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) in all of S.C. state government.

Well, we were surprised until we discovered that Chellis’ campaign is being run by political consultant Rod Shealy, who likes to blast out endorsement lists that include people who in no way, shape, or form endorsed the candidate in question.

In fact, it got so bad during the last election cycle that Shealy put out a mailer on behalf of a certain candidate that included the names of nearly a dozen dead people.

Quinn is very much alive, but sources have informed FITS that he is the latest in a long line of politicos to be burned by Shealy’s tactics.

Specifically, we’ve been told that Quinn’s name was “one of several” appearing on the Treasurer’s recent fundraising invite who is not even supporting Chellis.

Assuming this is true, we’d like to add a few “atta boy” points back onto Quinn’s tab.

Update – Quinn has confirmed to FITS that he did not authorize the use of his name on the mailing and is not supporting Chellis’ campaign for Treasurer.

Why would anyone of principle hire this Shealy character to get elected to public office?

If this is how you got to win, go back to selling used cars.

RQA Jr. is still a RINO . . . connect the dots to the Friends of the Hunley scam and RQ Jr.’s fingers are all over it.

RQ Jr. enriched himself by pressuring others to use his printing business . . . the same printing business that the Coward Friends of the Hunley use.

Rick is not a RINO, never has been. He’s solid on taxes and he’s smart on health care policy. He worked overtime to get a real property tax relief plan passed that would have examined the whole code. Rick is a solid conservative, even if some of his clients aren’t. The Hunley is a creepy sub and I don’t get the fascination, but lots of other people do and they spend a ton of cash to see it, so……as long as it keeps raising money from the private sector, I say cool. McConnell is another matter. I ain’t stupid enough to try to defend him. Let one of his lackeys in the statehouse take a shot. I’m sure they will…….

There’s no tangled web to unweave. RQ&A = First Impressions, Inc. = Mail Marketing Strategies = Southern Partisan = Foundation for American Education = Friends of the Hunley = countless other hats. Those are in no particular order. They are all located at 1600, 1616, and 1618 Gervais St., in the Quinn offices.
btw, don’t separate RQ Jr. from McConnell so much. There’s a reason they are such close friends—not to mention Ravenel, Lindsey Graham, et al. It’s evangelical backfire… no political principle, only common personal obsessions.
