Christina Ricci Is Engaged (Damn)

Of all our founding editor’s curious crushes, his wife is most baffled by the one he has on Christina Ricci.

“I don’t get it,” Mrs. Sic says.

She’s not kidding … she even fell asleep during Black Snake Moan, which Sic Willie may or may not have used to his advantage.

Anyway, as if Sic’s own marriage wasn’t a sufficient impediment to his fantasy of “getting with” Ricci, that daydream was dealt another major blow yesterday when it was announced that the actress is engaged to longtime comedian boyfriend What’s His Name (a.k.a. Owen Benjamin).

Ricci, 29, met Benjamin on the set of their film All’s Faire in Love last year and went public with their relationship in October.

Previously, Ricci has said her interest in marriage was limited to wanting “a ring and a tax break,” which let’s be honest is precisely why we find her so alluring.
