"the recently-released Pew survey showed that just 43% of Republican voters approve of the job their so-called party is doing in Washington"

Thanks Will,
Sadly, I seriously doubt that 43% of SC GOP voters approve of their state and local GOP leadership either. VERY SAD! RINO Republicans are everywhere and hardly distinguishable from the old "southern democratic" party leaders regarding ideology and lee atwater style tactics etc. AND I'M A FRUSTRATED REPUBLICAN IN CASE YOU CAN'T TELL!

Are these results really any surprise to any thinking conservative Republican? Republicans accounted for over 40% of the earmarks contained in the $410B omnibus spending bill! The establishment Republicans seem to think that just repeating a mantra about "fiscal responsibility" will somehow convince the huddled masses they are credible. Actions speak louder than words.

The Republican party needs some passionate, principled leadership coming from persons of integrity wrapped in the courage of their convictions and sprinkled with a little bit of charisma.

Anybody know of anyone like that in the Republican Party today?

I'd be very happy to have Ron Paul as chairman. I thought he was nutty at first, but I think the guy is a genius. He's got my vote.

Would that be legal? Legal, schmegal.

HE IS the big, benevolent elephant in the room!
