A Conservative Newspaper?

We’ve never heard of the website ChattahBox.com before, but they can’t spell “Chatter” and they sure as hell don’t know their asses from their elbows as far as South Carolina’s mainstream media outlets are concerned.

How do we know this?

Well, they called La Socialista “a conservative newspaper.”

And not just once – like when it’s an accident – but three times (including once in the headline) in a recent story they wrote on S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford’s decision regarding our state’s O-money.

From “Conservative S.C. Newspaper Blasts Gov. Sanford for Stimulus Waiver Nonsense,” courtesy of ChattahBox.com:

A conservative, South Carolina newspaper, The State, penned an editorial on Sunday blasting, (tearing to pieces) Gov. Mark Sanford for his political grandstanding, on his refusal to accept $700 million in federal cash unless he can use it to pay down the state’s projected pension debt.

The conservative newspaper described Gov. Sanford’s waiver reasoning as: “When you’re starving and someone offers to buy you lunch, you don’t say, “I only want your money if I can put it into my 401(k).” The Paper’s editorial went on to state, that Sanford’s grandstanding is “… disingenuously tailoring his request to enthrall his anti-government groupies…” The State plans to call on the state legislature to ignore Sanford’s disregard for the suffering jobless in his state and to move to accept all of the stimulus money to help South Carolinian’s get back to work.

Too funny … especially the “disregard for the suffering jobless” part.

Willie — thanks for the freedom of speech, Man!

This is the third place we have tried to publish our comment on Robert Arial. [1. Robert's site @ The State, which is micromanaged by Guess Who; 2; The Palmetto Scoop under an alias -- and 3. Here -- where we want to live, forever more.]

The State endorsed George W. Bush twice and John McCain in 2008. That is pretty conservative to everyone outside of South Carolina.
