A bunch of bands nobody has ever heard of will be playing in the cold, forty-degree rain on corporate-sponsored stages to a bunch of drunk ass South Carolinians who don’t know any better.
And nothing could be awesomer …
It’s St. Patrick’s Day in Columbia, S.C., people … which means “the fountain” in Five Points has been dyed green, people’s brain cells are about to die young and for the only time all year, MLK park is a place you can feel safe taking your children.
Here’s a few funnies from the official festival website …
First, the “Comfort Zone …”
Chairs and cots will be supplied for those needing to recuperate from over exertion.
Um, “over exertion?”
Next, the “Bike Valet …”
Pedal on down to the festival and drop off your bike with a valet attendant. You will receive a check-ticket to retrieve your bike when you’re ready to go!
And finally, the SC Lottery-sponsored “Shaggin’ on the Santee …”
Shaggin’ on Santee gets swinging with the South Carolina Education Lottery!
Hmmm … let’s just hope it’s not this kind of shaggin‘ and swingin‘ …
Count on FITS to bring you some fun fotos from the festival …

Oh, how I miss Spider Monkey and that wonderful little ditty they sang about clothing.
