Wow Wow Wonkette!

People like to think that we breathe fire around here … or “gunsling,” as some call it … but even on our flamethrowingest, fire-eatingest, quick-drawingest day, we’d have trouble competing with today’s edition of the popular D.C. blog Wonkette.

Calling SCGOP Chairman Katon Dawson a “Southern Slave Owner,” the blog explores an alleged effort by Dawson to rig a “vote of no confidence” against Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele.

As you’ll recall, Steele defeated Dawson in a lengthy, six-ballot battle for RNC Chair six weeks ago, but apparently the whole Rush Limbaugh thing has breathed new wind into Dawson’s sails.

South Carolina slaveholder Katon Dawson was this close to becoming the new RNC chairman, but the yankees rallied ’round Maryland black person Michael Steele, who has since brought disgrace to the white party by talking about hip hop and websites. THIS WON’T STAND. Dawson is now orchestrating a “no confidence” vote against this vaguely African fellow, Michael Steele, while Dawson’s North Carolina ally has demanded Steele stop talking about the rap music.

Dawson — this confederate goon who so hated the idea of black and white children attending the same school that his opposition to desegregation led him to politics — made it all the way to the sixth ballot during the excruciating Republican National Committee election of Michael Steele as chairman. Dawson is also known for his long membership in a whites-only country club.

No … holds … barred.

From everything we can tell, both Steele and Dawson are complete jokes.

One speaks in patronizing hip-hop, the other speaks in redneck platitudes.

Of course Republicans aren’t in the wilderness because of any particular dialect, they’re in the wilderness because they bailed on what they were supposed to stand for.

And thus ushered in a socialist form of government …
