Where The Taxpayers Are Sitting
On any number of different issues, one of the most overused expressions in politics – and life, for that matter – goes a little something like this:
“Look at it from where I’m sitting.”
Aside from being selfish, this expression is often the result of some imaginary PC offense – and as such often involves somebody who “lives to be offended” chastising somebody who probably didn’t mean to offend in the first place.
Like the crazy lady at the laundromat this weekend who complained that we left our clothes in the washing machine for too long … sheesh.
A couple margaritas and we lose all conception of time, people. And it’s hardly our fault they put a Mexican restaurant right across the parking lot …
Anyway, “look at it from where I’m sitting” is also frequently followed by a lecture of some sort or the other, and an admonition to do better next time.
Well, after examining this visual representation of where U.S. taxpayers are currently sitting (a.k.a. down in a hole), what sort of admonition do you think we should we give our elected officials?
And with everybody else under the sun getting a bailout for their bad decisions, is it still selfish of us to ask them to “look at it from where we’re sitting?”
Hell, we’re the ones who have to pay it all back, aren’t we?

Will, why is your boy moving. Getting ready for a Senate run? Why would “World’s #1 Stay at Home Dad” be leaving the Island. 3.5?! Looks like Samps is getting a Stimulus Check after all. Not like Jenny needs any more cash.

Law enforcement as a critical need was not proportionately repped in the stimuli$.
Lots of “green this” and “green that.”
We need bullets, not bullshit.
