Alma Matters: Coulter’s USC Diss

Conservative author Ann Coulter dissed the University of South Carolina today as part of a spat with liberal TV commentator Keith Olbermann, who she says didn’t go to the “real Cornell,” but rather an affiliated school where the SAT score was “about that of pulling guards at the University of South Carolina.”

Nice.

Later in her syndicated column, Coulter hints that USC linemen are all “recreation science” majors.

You can read all of the leggy loquaciousness for yourself by clicking here.

Frankly, we figured USC lineman had to be philosopher-kings given their inbility to run block (or pass protect, for that matter) but not so, according to Coulter.

And while we have no idea where Olbermann went to school or why it matters, both he and Coulter are no doubt privately high-fiving themselves in the mirror since people have stopped talking about Rush Limbaugh for the briefest of moments.

We run hot and could with Coulter.

When she’s baring midriffs and sending kabillions of hits our way, we like her.

When she’s mindlessly regurgitating the talking points of a party whose fiscal recklessness and hypocrisy brought us the age of “Yo-bama,” we ignore her.

As for dogging out USC (from whence Sic’s two sheepskins came), it is difficult to argue her point.

Whether we like it or not, there’s a reason “South Carolina” pops into people’s heads when they need to equate something or somebody to intellectual inferiority.

I challenge Ann Coulter to an intellectual duel. If she can’t compete without spattering bs everywhere and getting my shirt dirty, I say we go to twenty paces with pistols.

Noon. Sunday. On the Horseshoe.

I bet she won’t even show up.

You may have inadvertently confirmed the Stork’s point with your phrase “inbility to run block”.

Glad you picked up on this FITS. I’m a Clemson grad but feel I need to stand up for all crappy SC state colleges. For making a comment like she did, Ann Coulter sounds like the liberal elites we conservatives like to rail against. Nice, Ann. I guess you think a lot more like your fellow Ivy League grads living in Connecticut than I initially thought.

What a twat. Ann’s face looks like she spent her college years as a tackling dummy.

Rush Limbaugh is MY leader. Steele is an embarrassment. We need to recapture Reagan, not get “hip hop” like Steele and Obama.

By Michael on March 6th, 2009 at 1:31 pm

brenda,

Right on, right on, right on! But don’t throw the towel in on Steele YET–we may have to soon, but all this “should Michael Steele step down” talk is COMPLETELY an MSNBC-invented controversy.

Coulter is the Johnny Wad of neckdom. The bitch could kill an erection faster than a fractured tunica.

Who cares what she looks like? Her books are edifying and well-researched. Godless, in particular, was particularly informative.

Everybody has some dysmorphia. Look at Obama: he has huge ears. Who cares?

It’s a man, baby.

No actually, it’s a serial plagarist. Jan, that’s classic. Edifying and well researched? Heee.

is that an adams apple i see..hmmm..

By jan blotchsky on March 7th, 2009 at 8:54 pm

Pat, have you actually read any of her books? Seriously.

She doesn’t need to read every word she speaks from a teleprompter, either.

By Pat Hendrix on March 8th, 2009 at 7:04 am

Yes, well, I attempted to read a book about Clinton that someone had cruelly left in a beach house. I was annoyed at first, but then it occurred to me – if this is the voice of the movement – good.

As for the comment on the teleprompter, I assumed that a person who insults her audiences, uses the word “faggot,” targets the spouses of the 9-11 attacks for ridicule and is generally engaged in the ugliest attacks in our political discourse today is indeed not using a teleprompter. It would be hard to script that bile.

And she’s also a lazy writer, wrongly cites her material, creates “facts” from whole cloth and is a serial plagarist.

By jan blotchsky on March 8th, 2009 at 11:48 am

Serial plagarist, surely you confuse her with Joe Biden? We all know what he plagarized. What has she plagarized? Please edify me, since you make the claim. Her books are pregnant with cross-references.

In fact, “Guilty” has over 30 + pages of source documentation. Ms. Coulter is burr under the Dem’s saddle precisely because she is articulate and documents with such fastidiousness. It’s both comical and sad that you resort to insulting her appearance. Typical liberal.

Incidentally, I’m sure she’s on the ObamaThug Enemies’ List. Like his pal Chavez, Obama can’t handle dissent and must maintain a monopoly over the press. What’s so threatening about First Amendment rights that Dems try to suppress them? Fascinating.
