My vote is for Kristi Harrington, she is an outstanding Republican, who has given a lot to this state and only has more to offer. Stay tuned, you never know what may happen in the next 10 years, she is still young, intelligent, striking, and is great at calling the shots.

While we are requesting things from the Sic One, how about a poll on who people would like to see get in the GOP gubernatorial primary?

Will,
If you are reading this--I am wondering if you could do a feature about what it means to be a conservative reform Republican in SC(such as the basic philosophy, their positions on issues, etc.) and how it is different than Republicans like Gullick and Harrell. I guess I would consider myself as more of a Nikki Haley or Tom Davis Republican but just think people (incl. myself) need a better understanding if what this is all about. Thanks.

I heard you wear your Wonder Woman ring proudly too.

Just as long as we don't find your wife has a golden whip, it's ok to admire greatness.

Earl,

We love us some Kristi Harrington. As for the rest of what you said, ya ya ya ...

Dude had a 17% and 47% ranking from BIPEC his two full years.

That's flaming liberal in our book.

Will, I suppose if your assessment of him is based on your interpretation of three years of legislative service, maybe so.

You might want to consider the hard work he did in the 1990s in York County, where county government was broke, the county was hemorraging jobs with the collapse of the textile industry, and you would find groups numbering the hundreds protesting county government.

Carl's eight-year tenure as Chair of Council left the county with several million in reserve funds, a job base that was growing for the first time in decades, and a county road building program that has been adopted in a number of counties in South Carolina.

Oh, he also took a bit of flak being an early support of Circuit Judge Kristi Harrington, as well as sponsored legislation to stop giving defense attorneys more jury strikes than prosecutors. Those two things were truly the hallmark of a flaming liberal, right?

If that's what you would consider a "walking disaster for current and future generations of South Carolinians" then I guess you're entitled to your opinion. But those who've worked with him and seen what he's done might have a different opinion.

But then again, I'm supposed to be a RINO, so I guess it makes sense I'd be proud to call him a friend and thank him for what he's done.
