Commuting From Kentucky?

If Wildcats’ basketball babe Ashley Judd wants to continue commuting from Kentucky to South Carolina five months a year to pleasure our founding editor, we honestly don’t see a problem with that.

As famous babes from Dallas to D.C. and Phlly to LA will tell you, Sic Willie is worth the trip.

Of course commuting from Kentucky does have its limits, as S.C. Rep. Carl Gullick (RINO – York County) is discovering.

We broke the news earlier today that Gullick was stepping down from the legislature in June when the current session comes to a close, but what we didn’t know was why he was leaving … or what he tried to pull in an effort to hang onto his seat for another year.

According to multiple sources, Gullick’s wife – Dr. Lynn Preston Gullick, a VA doctor – has taken a new position in the Bluegrass State.

And Gullick, the obedient Doctor’s wife that he is, has agreed to go with her.

Prior to doing so, however, he reportedly attempted to persuade the leadership of the S.C. House of Representatives to allow him to commute from Kentucky next session.

Say what?

Yup. Gullick was going to try and drive from Kentucky to South Carolina (and back) once a week for five months – presumably collecting travel expenses along the way.

Needless to say, House Speaker Bobby Harrell shot the idea down, prompting Gullick’s decision yesterday.

Update - Seriously? Lawyers? The Ashley Judd thing was a joke, people. She only comes once or twice a year to service Sic … and yes, it is double entendre week.

So can we ID a good reformer to replace Gullick?

W: Ya know this is funny real funny, I mean it is obvious you have no clue what he did when he was the chair of county council here in York county. Things are not always dressed up like you claim them to be.

It ought to be fun to watch FITS produce any form of proof….considering there is not an ounce of truth to the allegation.

Someone needs to hire a really good lawyer fast

By JD St. John on March 6th, 2009 at 4:50 pm

Oh well I know plenty, which is good enough for me. But you see Will your f bombs and name calling doesn’t bother me because if you wanna see the real MORON just look in the mirror! Don’t worry bout me trying to sue I have been called other things by better people and heck you may need to save your money for any of your future run ins!

So I guess my point was and still is you dont know jack!

“WTF do you know?” was rhetorical, dumb ass. Like when a gangster says “well whaddya’ know?”

And obviously you don’t know much.

Go back to pimping Gresham “Bailout” Barrett on Facebook and leave the real debate to the big boys, hmmm-k?

You’ll be ready in a few years.

Hey will,
stop with the reporting of the damn rhetoric, put some proof up. do you know what that is? its what they call evidence. its the stuff that makes your article actually have validity. maybe you need to ask your lawyers about it they can tell you i’m sure. Gullick is and has been a professional his entire term. So enough with the trash.

Hey Sic One,Check Gullicks ethics report. Guess whose name shows up with aplenty? JD St. John, Thats who!

By Earl Capps on March 7th, 2009 at 3:09 pm

Not sure about my bud Joe, but I stick up plenty for Carl and you won’t find my name on his disclosures.

At least Carl discloses. If only SCRG, CIA and their associates would comply with the intent and spirit of campaign ethics laws and do likewise.

I would be curious to see some proof to support those allegations. It’s always pretty darn funny when the real truth surfaces, at least for one side of the accusations.

By J D St. Jeand (Today) on March 7th, 2009 at 4:34 pm

Hey Me thinks thou can’t put my name up because I wanna hide, I never once did not say that I was not part of Carl’s campaign. My whole point is and free of charge is that the facts where not accurate in the article and heck the Rhetoric that the Sic One writes is just that Rhetoric. Like so many things that some bloggers do. Heck I tend to agree with the Sic One on alot of things just not this one.

As for me being ready in a few years, I have had my fair share of debting the big boys even on the same side of you Sic! This debate is getting old!!!!! Guess I better get back to Barretts Facebook running out of time!
