John Edwards Is Mistress’ Baby Daddy

It’s been almost two years since we got into all sorts of trouble for referring to John Edwards as an “insensitive prick.”

Back then, our point was simply that Edwards shouldn’t have exploited his wife’s cancer for political gain – which he brazenly, brazenly did.

And yet for calling things the way we saw them, we got “fired” by SC Hotline and lambasted on a Charlotte radio station.

“You did this for web hits,” the radio host sanctimoniously lectured our founding editor. “You did this just to be controversial. You don’t really believe this.”

Ummm … really? Okay …

Anyway, fast forward to August 2008 – when Edwards finally admitted that while he was cashing in on people’s sympathy for his wife he was also banging another woman.

Sounds pretty “prickish” and “insensitive” to us.

But like the typical politician he is, Edwards couldn’t come completely come clean – as mid-admission he denied that he had fathered a “love child” with mistress Rielle Hunter.

Well guess what … now the National Enquirer (which broke all this in the first place) is reporting that Edwards has finally told his wife that yes, he fathered a love child with Rielle Hunter.

Why wait until now?

Apparently it has something to do with helping boost sales for Elizabeth Edwards’ upcoming book, Gullibility.

Err … Resilience. Sorry … her book is called Resilience.

Like we said all along, people. John Edwards is an insensitive prick.

And like all politicians, a liar, too.

Update - Looks like our possessive use of Mistress’ in the headline was correct. Go figure.

The term ’scum bag’ would also fit well.

If only the baby’s mother were black Edwards could achieve Strom-hood.

Oh well…. as the country continues to sink…. because of the democrats…. Yet another democrat will get a pass…. how many have forgotten to pay their taxes…. I*’m sure his excuse is he tripped and fell on top of her while they both had their pants down and that it is not his fault…. and this was a candidate for the President of the US???

Sad commentary on what we look for in leaders!

Yeah, Ewards deserves whatever he gets. He’s a lowlife. But I blame it on his year at Clemson, not his poltical orientation.

I think you mean “possessive,” not “plural.”

Sid-

U da man. Sic has no idea what parts of speech are what, or what tenses go where.

He will laugh for hours if somebody refers to a “dangling participle,” though.

I think his dangling participle is likely short

I think the National Enquirer is desperate, and is using John Edwards stories to make money.
The National Enqirer is disgusting.

AMI Restructures Debt, Avoids Bankruptcy Bondholders take control of publisher; Pecker remains CEO.(2/1/09)

National Enquirer and Star publisher American Media has, for all practical purposes, gone bust.

The AMI has been battling bankruptcy rumors for months, after taking on too much debt. Clearly, AMI couldn’t afford to pay back what they owe. So now they’ve come to a resolution: handing 95% of the company over to creditors! Which means that David Pecker and the other investors who bought the company nine years ago have been left a stake that’s worth next to nothing. This is, uh, “avoiding” bankruptcy:

The agreement, which reduces the company’s debt by $227.2 million, transfers ownership of 95 percent of AMI’s common stock to bondholders, the company said Sunday evening. CEO David Pecker… and Evercore Partners bought American Media in 1999 for $850 million.

I’m just grateful this joker never became president or vice-president for that matter. Clearly, good judgement is not his forte- first he’s banging another woman while cashing in on his wife’s battle with cancer, but what’s worse, the woman he’s banging is butt ugly. Finally, he has the poor judgement to let this thing go on and on and on- only when he’s forced to fess up does he. First he admits it after being forced to, then………..months later, he admits the child is his, again after being forced to.
