Yes I am sure Dan Cooper has someone in mind for this job. However I think it will be Ron Wilson himself. In August of 2007 Ron Wilson, while chairman of the personnel committee for Anderson County council, was given a sworn statement detailing the inappropriate behavior of our then county administrator Joey Preston, and a female subordinate county employee on a picnic table in one of our public parks. Wilson never convened the personnel committee to deal with this matter. Approximately two weeks later Wilson’s daughter was given a contact to serve as a sustainable agricultural consultant. I said given the contract, it was not advertised and never put up for bid. This was the first that most people in Anderson heard about farm to school. Mr. Wilson, Joey Preston, Dan Cooper, and Schaum’s husband are all members of the new Manse Jolly S.C.V. camp that they founded in Piedmont. Many of us in Anderson County are outraged at what has transpired with this garbage. To make matters worse on November 1st 2008, Preston renewed this ridicolous contract for three years, and installed a golden parachute in it. On Novemeber the 18th Schaum’s Father, Ron Wilson presented a $1.14 million dollar buy out of his contract. He did this while still acting as chairman of the personnel committee, however he did not procure this agreement with their permission or with the full councils permission. Actually the story is that the Attorney hired to represent the County told Wilson and the others that Preston did not have a leg to stand on with his lawsuit. Can you all say good ole boys club. Dan Cooper should be stopped in his tracks. A state Grand jury should be convened to investigate this whole scheme.

Hey sic…psst…come-ere… some illiterate fat asses known as the Beaufort High Eagles baseball team just kicked the living shit out of one of your beloved private SCISA clubs last evening. They also enjoy the company of the lady’s from a nearby private academy. Seems these private school boys just ain’t getting the job done…on or off the field. Or should we say, they’re just not covering the bases.

I bet Allison Schaum would be the “farm to school” director. You see she is the daughter of Anderson County Councilman Ron Wilson of Powdersville. She is the one who got a plum contract with Anderson County for doing the same thing. Except her contract had a big “buyout” clause.

Did you not write a story about this a week or two ago? I know you went to USuC, but you can at least put 2 and 2 together.
