We're either going to have to raise taxes to get the stimulus funds or else allow counties to raise taxes. Stop being obstructionists!

You definitely do not have the interest of the average citizen of SC at heart. We must have new taxes to save our education system from being decimated by this resession-depression. S.C. Club for Growth is not interested in our children's education nor is it interested in S.C. being anything but last in the nation in everything. Many of us taxpayers are interested in the well-being of the entire state, not just the rich.

Ron,
Sen. Wes Hayes was attending the funeral for Rep. Herb Kirsh's wife, Sue. They are both long-serving members of the York County delegation. He could hardly be called AWOL for something such as this. I don't know about the others but lay off Wes, one of the best Senators in South Carolina.

Will,
You spoke of five GOP Senators who voted against the Bryant bill but made no mention of the FOUR WHO WERE ABSENT!!! We elect these guys to the state senate as conservatives to be "our conservative voice", and one of them was in Washington at the time of the vote chasing Obama stimulus funds. As Reagan always said, "HERE THEY GO AGAIN". LOL. Thanks to Ashley Landess and the Policy Council's recorded voting campaign, we the people will now be aware of which elected officials are AWOL. THANKS ASHLEY!!!

Dude, is this the stupid local impact fee thing?

We thought you legislative apologists wanted Sanford to sign off on ALL local legislation?

Stay tuned for some updated news about Marky Mark that we're guessing his office won't be thrilled about, though ...

i find it funny you write about a possible tax increase but then don't have the balls to take on your former boss, Governor Sanford, when he failed to veto a tax increase just last week. why will you not write about that?
