Michael Vick’s Coming Home Soon
Convicted canine brutalizer (oh, and star NFL quarterback) Michael Vick will be released from prison three months from now, bypassing a Virginia halfway house and heading straight to his Hampton roads home where it’s hoped he will not finance and operate dog fighting rings anymore.
The three-time Pro Bowler is currently serving a 23-month sentence at the federal penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kansas, where hopefully the ghost of “Toto” has haunted his every waking moment.
Vick’s attorneys had no comment about his release.
Many believe Vick will play again in the NFL one day, but it won’t happen without him undergoing the image rehabilitation of the century.
So far, that process is not going so well.
The Atlanta Falcons – who drafted Vick first overall in 2001 – have been trying to trade him for the past two weeks but no NFL teams have expressed interest.
Additionally, the quarterback filed for bankruptcy last summer.
