In an effort to make it up to the world for putting Seth Rogen on the March cover of his magazine, Playboy’s 82-year old founder Hugh Hefner has offered a cover spot and photo spread to newly-minted Academy Award winner Kate Winslet.

Will it happen?

Maybe … Winslet has gotten naked for several movies, including 1997′s blockbuster Titanic, and while she’s sworn off future nude scenes on the silver screen she hasn’t ruled them out for magazines.

In fact, she did a racy Vanity Fair nude shoot just last year.

If Kate takes Hugh up on his offer she would follow in the footsteps of Marilyn Monroe, Sharon Stone, Pamela Anderson and fellow Oscar winner Charlize Theron.

The 82-year-old Playboy boss told a newspaper: “There’s no question we would be interested in Kate.

“It’s a competitive market, more than it used to be, so she would be a most welcome addition in our pages.”

This is quantifiably magnificent.

Winslet is that incredibly rare vixen who is brilliant, talented, non-siliconized and 100% comfortable in her own skin.

And in case you’ve forgotten, Mrs. Sic has already weighed in on Winslet’s boobs and found them to be “perfect.”
