A-Roid Implosion

Hours before Sports Illustrated broke the story about his steroid use, New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez was partying hard at a nightclub in the Bahamas, downing Grey Goose vodkas and red bulls while savoring a little female companionship.

Of course these racy pics aren’t going to hurt “A-Roid” nearly as much as the revelation that he may not have been completely honest concerning his use of performance enhancing drugs.

Earlier this week, the New York Post published a report that Rodriguez was tipped off to an upcoming drug test in 2004 by none other than the Chief Operating Officer of the Major League Baseball Players Association, which serves as baseball’s union.

That’s more than enough smoke to raise speculation about whether or not Rodriguez is telling the truth when he says he only took steroids from 2001-03.

After all, he flat-out lied to millions of Americans a few years ago on 60 Minutes, categorically denying any steroid use.

Making matters worse, “A-Roid” has reportedly angered his spiritual companion Madonna by seeking solace in the arms of his wife Cynthia after the scandal broke last weekend.

Rodriguez’s handlers apparently think the image of him as a “family man” will assist him in his long road to “image rehabilitation.”

Whatever.

There is no rehabilitation for A-Roid.

Even before the steroid revelations came out, Rodriguez was a prima donna who did nothing but bitch and moan in the clubhouse and whine about how people treated him unfairly because he was rich, talented and bi-racial.

Plus he wears hair plugs and seriously needs to stay away from the tanning bed … gross.
