Rabbit ears will be sticking around at least until June after the U.S. Congress delayed the nationwide switch to digital cable yesterday.
This means, of course, that we’ll be forced to listen to local TV anchors blather on at a grade school comprehension level about the so-called “Big Switch” for another four months, reminding poor people every five minutes how they can get their government coupons for free or reduced digital antennae.
TV stations have spent two years and countless millions of dollars in ads and airtime getting everybody ready for the switch, which was supposed to take place on Feb. 17.
Oh well, the good news is they’re breathing a whole lot easier up in Anderson County, S.C. today …
