Leon Lott’s Clever “Phelps Plan” Is Working
We tried to resist the tractor beam, but it sucked us in.
Like the casting of dudes with eye-patches for daytime television dramas, we were compelled to dutifully go where 4,565 of our media brethren and sistren have gone over the last 48 hours, i.e. directly to the media altar of Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott – who made international news earlier this week by announcing his intention to investigate Olympic hero Michael Phelps’ recent bong incident at the University of South Carolina.
Don’t believe that traffic? Well check the man’s Google stats …
And while Lott is receiving a lot of criticism for grandstanding, oddly enough we’re not joining the chorus.
How come?
Well, because unlike most of the rich and powerful folks we piss off on a daily basis, Lott actually lives within driving distance of our home office, people.
And he’s got a friggin’ tank, in case ya didn’t know.
No really … he has a tank.
(Dabbing tears) We really wish we were stronger for y’all … we really, really do.
But calling Leon Lott a grandstander isn’t worth risking a penny-ante reenactment of Tiananmen Square on our front lawn.

Grandstanding?!?
It seems like a good opportunity to teach that little greedy picture-snapping snitch a lesson. You don’t just mess up somebody’s life and expect to have no consequences other than a padded bank account.
Pressing charges would at the least make them squirm over their stupidity.

I may be the oldest participant on this blog. I remember when Sheriff Lott was Captain Lott and ran drug interdiction for the Sheriff’s Department. Had is mug on TV nearly every week after a drug bust. Hair down to his shoulders. The sheriff at the time fired him as I recall. Different decade, same story. Always the politician.

Dude. I bet those 4,565 websites hadn’t read Jim Simms book you posted about last week. Don’t Get Arrested in South Carolina. After your post I read it and man, LL is not looking good in that case. Maybe someone should send Michael Phelps’ lawyers a copy. Turn about is fair play.

This is not a serious man. Some turd snapped a picture of the dude ripping a bong hit and now the Sheriff is going to investigate? How about investigate some unsolved murders and rapes, numbnutt.

I guess there aren’t any murders, rapes, or assaults for Lott and his crack investigation team to spend their valuable tax payer resources on, so why not go after pot smokers? But if that’s the indeed the case, his police departments budget should be slashed at least in half next year since there isn’t any violent crime to fight and he should lose his precious little “tank” since it doesn’t seem he’ll need it busting pot smokers….

Leon Lott is a whack job. The kind of public official who drags America down. He advances his own selfish desires as he “steals” from taxpayers for his twisted kinks. Look into his life, his taxpayer paid purchases as sheriff, and his routine abuse of power. Leon Lott should be locked up.
Take a simple example – Lott is a habitual speeder. Everyone knows it. The “act of speeding†is dangerous, it kills and it terrorizes. His continual, unabashed speeding is a willful act that destroys other people for personal emotional gain. Lott is a dangerous terrorist. However, the “act of smoking pot†does not kill – ever. Acts performed while high might be dangerous, but, the act of taking a bong hit is a benign act. Acts of speeding cause other people to die, when performed deliberately as in Lott’s case, and therefore, is terrorist behavior.
When Leon Lott can prove he’s never done any drug, ever, never broke any laws of any type, ever, then he’ll clearly be a person of whom Jesus never could become, a type of person whom Mother Teresa could never be. His hypocrisy will be judged in time.
