ESPN Is So “Boss”

ESPN – the self-proclaimed worldwide leader in sports – is teaming up with the New York City Department of Education to create a new high school that will teach students the business of sports.

As the kids say, that’s “boss.”

No seriously, that’s what it’s called – the Business of Sports School (BOSS).

Anyway, the announcement was made yesterday, while we’re all warm and fuzzy over mayor Michael Bloomberg’s contention that such conceptual campuses represent the evolution and diversification of the outmoded vocational and trade school model (sigh), we think the guys over at With Leather have their fingers on the pulse of what’s really going on here.

From their story:

The more attractive teenage girls will get coveted internships at ESPN headquarters in Bristol, where they will learn the finer aspects of getting groped by older men and keeping their damn mouths shut if they ever want to get somewhere in this business.

Yowzas … and you thought it was just S.C. politics …
