Dedicated

Babysitting is never easy, but it’s particularly difficult (and awkward) when the “child” is a thirty-four-year-old man who just so happens to run one of the most powerful political websites in South Carolina.

Trust us, soothing such an uniquely inflated ego requires a particularly ruthless brand of cunning.

Take our FITS staff meeting earlier this morning, for example, when our founding editor appeared on the verge of tossing a few of his interns into furniture after FITS experienced a brief “time out” yesterday evening.

“I don’t wanna go to time out!” Sic screamed. “No time out!!! No time out!!!”

Yeah … sound familiar?

Anyway, the problem was solved by FITS-Gal-in-Chief Nancy, who informed Sic that the site was down briefly because it had to be moved it to a “dedicated” server, the result of Sic once again growing “too big for (his) britches.”

Needless to say, we’ve had to tolerate Sic pointing at his crotch all day saying “yeah, baby, Unnhhh! I’m too big! Too big, baby!”

“Unnhhhh, Unnnhhhh!”

That’s obviously the bad news … the good news is we’re now hooked up with an exorbitantly expensive web server “dedicated” to handling all the new people who are joining us every day.

So click your hearts out, people … it’s on us.

Before you start bitching, BIN, there may be a little truth to this article written in keeping with a high school sophomore male’s locker room mentality. Yesterday, the number of hits directly from http://www.FitsNews.com to Jim Simms’ website on his book, Don’t Get Arrested in South Carolina (www.erikpublishing.com) caused it to crash. Took Jim all day to get his people to get his working correctly.
