Not A Best-Seller But …
For a book that has reportedly sold less than a dozen copies, J.B. Simms’ forthcoming treatise “Don’t Get Arrested in South Carolina” is apparently pissing off all the right people.
Purporting to be a tell-all from Simms’ two decades as a private investigator, an advance copy of the book landed in our laps shortly after we published our explosive blackmail story last month involving allegations of vigilante justice at the S.C. State Law Enforcement division.
And while we make no claims as to the book’s accuracy, needless to say its pages are littered with the names of prominent state officials.
One extraordinary claim the book makes involves the tragic death of popular Columbia, S.C. dentist Harry Sunshine, who was struck and killed by an unidentified motorist while riding his bicycle during the early morning hours of September 30, 2000.
According an excerpt on Simms’ website, the true perpetrator of the crime was not the woman charged and convicted of it, but rather a powerful political advisor to former S.C. Governor John West.
It’s just one of many sensational stories (one involving a current South Carolina lawmaker) included in a book we’ve been literally unable to put down.

Folks, you’ll fall for anything. Press releases from your clientele that you back off immediately when called on the fact-free content, publishing nonsense from people who haven’t passed the bar exam, and now crazy private investigators with News of the World stories. Morally AND intellectually bankrupt fits you to a T.
Jim Simms is well-known for being “The Man” if you want to track down an alien who is impersonating a Family Court Judge. No one has paid any attention to him in years, a status I gather you’re desperately seeking.
Just like you, he’s got a weakness for sleazy blonds. Weak mind, weak character, ….oh…..wait a minute…Is that you Folks? You’ve taken over Jim Simms’ body?

This state is sooooo ready fo another “lost trust” type deal. But one dealing with real crimes of the political classes.
The public just has no idea what goes on…

Red Bank Bar: Have you read the book? I have. Guess if you can’t attack the facts in the book, regardless of Simms’ slant, you choose to attack “The Man.” Are you and BIN twins separated at birth?

Red Bank Bar,
The governing classes said Jesus was insane.
[That didn't pan out for them, did it?] [Answer: No, it did not.]

When someone starts piercing the veil around here, the tried and true tactic is to build a case that they are crazy. Even bowl over doctors, priests, lawyers, sheriffs [Lexington County] with “fabrications that fit.”
e.g.:
How do you THINK people would respond to reports of someone driving around in a [beige, of course] car down Old Barnwell Road in Red Bank, with smoke or dry ice circling their head, with their big old sunglasses [*] on and their head in the proverbial clouds?
Now. Think about how easy that stunt would be to pull off and ‘present’ to the [previously] unsuspecting Mabster?
Somebody NEEDS to tell it — even if it lands them over on good ol’ Bull St.
[*] – not as big as Mab’s

I think you mean “figuratively.” To say you’ve been “literally” unable to put the book down means that you can’t physically let go of the book.

No it is stuck to our hands, but that may just be b/c of the Penthouse spread tucked innocently inside the pages.

Mab just bought the book. I told Erik that Sic Willie sent me. He will not really bill me, right? I still only have $5.64 and we are out of milk again.

BIN – make fun all you want of Sic’s unabashed braggadocio about the number of hits he receives daily, but it seems the number of hits from this site today crashed Simms’ site. Must have been more than 12.

I just finished the book — Simms has totally exposed the modus operandi of SC’s court, prison, and investigative climate. It is one big stinking mockery.
I wouldn’t trust them with the exoneration of Jesus Christ himself.
