Andy Kennedy Is Kind Of A Big Deal
We had no idea when we attended the University of South Carolina-Ole Miss basketball game last month that we were in the presence of greatness.
Specifically, we didn’t know that the mob lawyer look-a-like pacing the Rebel sidelines was Andy Kennedy, the guy who got arrested in Cincinnati last December on charges that he punched an Islamic cabbie in the face and called him a “sand n*gger.”
Anyway, Cincinnati cops finally released video from Kennedy’s arrest, in which he pleads with the cop not to take him in because he’s, well, kind of a big deal.
From the Cincinnati Enquirer:
“It’s not worth it. Please trust me. Please trust me on this. This is going to be a national incident, sir,†Kennedy tells the Cincinnati police officer at one point.
After that didn’t work, Kennedy decided to elevate his arrest to an even higher energy level – calling it an “international altercation.”
“I’m playing Louisville and Rick Pitino tomorrow. I was the UC head coach. I am going to be on national television. If I’m not standing there at 9 p.m. tomorrow, this is an international altercation.â€
Of course, Kennedy’s incessant whining didn’t work with the cop, who promptly put the coach in his place …
“You think we’ve never arrested somebody that’s made national media? …We deal with the Bengals all the time.â€
Somebody get that man a donut!
How cool is that?
The officer even reminded Kennedy that everything he was saying was being recorded, which makes it even funnier.
Ole Miss is 12-9 (3-4 SEC) on the year, in case you were wondering.
