The Blast Has Begun

It’s been fun watching the reaction among Palmetto politicos to our new morning blast e-mail service, which actually kicked off yesterday with our inaugural weekend recap (yeah, we work weekends).

We think it’s the best political news service on the market, but then again that’s not surprising considering its our political news service and we get paid to think so.

Here’s just a snippet from yesterday’s Blast …

Yeah, it actually goes a lot deeper than that … which makes it not unlike our founding editor.

And yes, he insisted we write that (he’s actually hung like a squirrel, people).

Anyway, in addition to bringing you all the S.C. political news you need on a daily basis each morning (and did we mention on the weekends, too?), the Morning Blast ironically made some news of its own yesterday.

A reporter at one of the state’s more popular Democratic web sites, Indigo Journal, somehow found her way onto one of the “news aggregation” platforms we’ve been using to compile clips for the Blast and posted the pre-assembled goodies on their website.

So yeah, we got “Pawn3d” as they kids say.

For our next trick we’re going to see if we can make the morning blast actually explode when you open it.

Or at least make a cool exploding sound.

Anyway, we hope you’ll sign up now … we’re proud of the work our team has put into this new service and we think it’ll be  valuable, much more expansive tool than what you get from the current providers.
