Angry Faces

Sic Willie made a surprise visit to the S.C. State House yesterday to check up on the visual relief for his annual “Who’s Hot” list, and apparently prompted a rise in the collective blood pressure in the building.

One lobbyist refused to shake Sic’s hand, and one former elected official got so angry at our founding editor in the stairway of an adjoining building that he literally started shaking and appeared on the verge of getting his “altercation on.”

Nothing happened, fortunately, as the ex-lawmaker in question decided that Sic was “not worth it.” Which we really can’t argue with.

And Sic wasn’t going to “go there” either, obviously, because let’s face it … he confines his infamous temper to women – and occasionally puppies.

Of course, as much as we’d like to pen a biting narrative about how all of the status quo “jokers” who populate the State House complex are nothing but a bunch of bitter and bombastic S.O.B.’s, it wouldn’t be true.

Sure, they might call you a scum-sucking maggot (or worse) the second you’re out of ear shot, but there are so many smiling faces working at the State House they could probably balance the budget by passing a happy tax.

Oh, and as for our two angry friends, like Tupac said, we ain’t mad atcha … nah, nah … we ain’t mad atcha …

Sic didn’t want to embarrass the governor like that, so he flew solo … but thanks for asking!

Your lobbyist honorable mention is an arrogant prick.

Consider yourself fortunate. Better to be known as an SOB than not to be known at all.
