Sumter, S.C. will get $33,725 in federal bailout funding for self-flushing toilets, and while that amount represents barely a water molecule in the $900 billion bucket of President Barack Obama’s “economic stimulus” package, it’s perhaps the most symbolic bailout-related expense we’ve ever seen.
Because let’s be honest, people, the federal government has pretty much turned into one big “self-flushing potty” when it comes to wasting your tax dollars.
Ten trillion of them, in fact.
Also in the “economic rescue” package?
$886,000 for a 36-hole “Frisbee Golf” course in Austin, Texas, $1.4 million for a children’s water park in Arkansas and $500,000 for a California dog park.
Feel the “O-Love,” people.

Since the economic stimulus bill has yet to pass and be signed into law, it is premature to state catergorically what will be paid for by the legislation.
In order to obtain Congressional support, the bill will be laden with pork much of it demanded by republican legislators, who will then turn around and call it overspending.
