How Much Are They Worth?

Sadly, we’re not posing that question about hotties like the inimitable “iJustine,” whose utilization of social networking technology has created a whole new category of human endeavor known as “lifecasting.”

That would be politically incorrect of us, and besides, we think you’ll agree that her value is like the end of one of those cheesy Mastercard commercials – “priceless.”

What we’re curious about is the companies that are producing and providing these technologies – how much are they worth?

Well, we picked a good day to ask that question because news broke over the weekend that Twitter just raised $20 million in new investment based on a report showing that the company is worth $250 million.

That’s two times the price that Facebook offered to purchase Twitter last summer, although a big chunk of that offer was reportedly in Facebook stock – which has taken a bit of a dip of late.

Facebook was valued at $15 billion back in 2007, but is now reportedly worth less than a third of that.

In the meantime, here’s the picture of “iJustine” that just slays us …

C’mon baby. Adam Duritz ain’t got nothing on this stud … even if he still doesn’t know how to use Twitter.
