A Chain-Smoking Toddler?

Not too long ago, rehabilitated celebripopslut Britney Spears found her parenting skills under fire when three-year-old son Sean Preston was caught on camera reaching for one of Mommy’s Marlboro Lights.

The little guy also picked up a lighter, although Spears was able to stop him before life imitated art – or at least the infamous smoking baby angel on the cover of Van Halen’s breakthrough album, 1984.

Well apparently Spears’ parenting skills are a little better than those of British social worker Kelly Marie Pocock, 24, who last week was given a forty-week suspended sentence after her three-year-old son was videotaped smoking a cigarette while she talked on the telephone.

And according to prosecutors in the case, the child’s smoking wasn’t an isolated incident, either, but rather an acquired habit picked up over time.

“The video demonstrates the boy placing a cigarette into his mouth, lighting it with a lighter and sucking, drawing smoke clearly into the lungs and he seems to do it with some accomplishment. It doesn’t cause him any discomfort. He is sat on a chair close to the mother, who is talking on the phone. It is clear that the boy, at the age of three, knows what to do with a lighter and cigarette.”

The witness who taped the incident claims to have visited the child’s home previously and observed him hiding under the bed with a pack of cigarettes, smoking them one-by-one.

Let’s be honest – this is pretty damn impressive. In fact, we’re wondering what this kid says when he rolls up to the neighborhood Cherry Blossom Market.

“F*ck that fake ice cream sh*t … I’ll take a carton of reds and a handle of Makers, b*tch. And chop-chop cause I gotta roll to the playground and pistol-whip one of my hoes.”
