Now What?

“Change has come,” but America still faces the economic storm of a lifetime, a full-fledged fiscal free fall brought on by both the excesses and inadequacies of the government that Barack Hussein Obama now leads – and leads with a stronger hand than any President since FDR, we might add.

Will President Obama use his prodigious power and unparalleled “cult of personality” to bring about the positive, if not imprecise “change” he promised during his campaign? Or will his policies push our nation further off of the cliff?

The answers to those fundamental questions start now …

From watching his inaugural address today, it’s clear that there is nobody in this country – and perhaps even in the history of this country (save perhaps Kennedy or Reagan) – who can give a speech like Obama.

He flat out owns the English language, people, effortlessly mixing exquisite verbage, artfully-drawn analogies, impeccable delivery and inclusive, multi-purpose metaphors into a seamless symphony of sound, one that literally leaps from his sonorous vocal chords and into the public consciousness.

But what of the policies behind the pretty words? The substance behind Obama’s symphony?

Again, the fundamental answer to that question starts now … and yet based on everything we’ve seen, its status quo reality stands in stark contrast to the tapestry of “change” he painted on the steps of the U.S. Capitol this afternoon.

Still, you have to credit the guy for knocking it out of the park as far as speeches go.

If words alone could fix our nation’s problems, our new President would have solved them all in one magnificent speech.

Unfortunately, words alone don’t solve those problems, and frankly neither will any of the status quo solutions President Obama has thusfar outlined.

Now what?!?

Well, for starters Rahmbo is “sidling” up with John McCain at the inaugural luncheon & stuff. >>>Yuk<<<

This is puk-e-fying, unless it is a keep your friends close, your enemies closer kind of thing.

That’s what!

Maybe — glory of glories — they will give McCain a short-leashed, useless function in need of an echo. >>>Warthime<<< Gone to DC. Brilliant.

Fits is so full of it “he flat out owns the English language”

TK-

You miss the point.

We think Obama is more full of it than any Washington politician in history. That doesn’t change the fact that the speech was straight up butter.

Or honey.

Smooth and sweet, baby. Smooth and sweet.

it was a great speech… that is why he was elected, and even though I don’t agree with him, I started crying at certain points during the inauguration.

I wish President Obama the best of luck.

Does anyone else think that Michelle Obama looks sorta like Patrick Ewing in drag?? Just a bit.. Anyway, thought the speech was typically non-specific and full of cliches and as usual included some mild plagiarism. Well, that’s what we elected folks. Enjoy. Although lou wishes Pres. Obama the best of luck, I wish the American people the best of luck, we’re going to need it!

Hey politicos, if you are going to make it a point to keep up with Sarah Palin and the media stuff — there is some interesting ’snarkization’ @ this blog/comments:
