Obama Assimilation Update: The Flag?
It’s funny … we could honestly give a rat’s rear end about this story and yet here we are writing about it anyway.
Perhaps it was the fiftieth time we were forwarded this picture – on a Saturday, no less – that it started to dawn on us ‘wait a minute, people are actually pretty riled up about this.’
“This” is a Baltimore Sun photograph of Barack Obama supporters waving American flags with the President-elect’s face and logo emblazoned on them during Obama’s visit to the city yesterday.
Picked up first by the website Inside Charm City, the photo has quickly become an internet sensation.
How come? Well, slapping anybody’s face or logo on the Stars & Stripes is technically defacement, and illegal according to federal law.
It even comes with a whopping $100 fine, people.
Our question is this … Obama is about to dramatically escalate his predecessor’s policy of blowing ungodly amounts of money America doesn’t have on stuff America doesn’t need at a time America can least afford it.
And we’re worried about a flag?

With the real federal crimes going unnoticed, it would be highly offensive to some of us to go after people full of joy.
