Yes. I deserve to be fired, but all of you can kiss my ass. I've done better than any other USC coach and I will try and do better.

Fire Spurrier?? I don't know. I would like to see him fired. But, perhaps a better offensive coach would do. Plus, STEVE, STOP SWITCHING QB's everytime you change your underwear!!

If he has another 6 or 7 win year in 2009 (or worse), FIRE HIM FOR SURE!

He does bring in some top recruits....garcia was considered one of the top QBs in the country....he has had a couple of top 10 classes....but for some reason these same top recruiting classes are finishing near the bottom in every statistical category..its not recruiting thats the problem...spurrier can still recruit as well as anyone...its the lack of discipline, lack of effort, and showing up unprepared for games thats the problem...Cant blame a losing tradition either...other schools have turned it around...plus we have some good recruits..lets just coach them to play to their potential

Recruiting failure isn't down to Spurrier, it's a total lack of desire from good recruits to come and play at the SEC basement that is USC. Lord knows Columbia is a more exciting place for a college kid to be than Clemson, but USC just has a losing culture, pure and simple. Spurrier's biggest mistake was coming to USC in the first place, although any other coach over this period probably wouldn't even have made it to 3 bowl games.

Spurrier should go...He may be one of the best coaches in the history of college football...but he just doesn't care anymore...He only took the job at South Carolina so he would be close to Augusta where he wanted to play golf...He even said that had a big part of him coming here when he first came...He doesn't put half the effort into winning as he did at Florida...You can tell by the attitude of his players...Plus he is severely hurting the developement of his QB's bc he throws them in and out of games every 2 seconds...Can't develop any rythym at all like that...Quit ripping your QB's when its your O-line thats the problem...especially Garcia for leaving the pocket too early....I wouldn't sit back there too long either if I knew I would get laid out every play...plus he played at his best when he was on the run...After Spurrier told him not to use his natural talent is when his performance went downhill...Some of the best QB's in the NCAA the last few years are the ones that can take off and pick up yards...but no....Spurrier says to stay in there(and take a beating) and throw to some recievers that put in the same effort Spurrier does....if He is gonna stay then maybe he should teach some lineman to block someone and his receivers how to run a route and go after a football...Garcia can play...its the rest of your offense that was the problem...Quit playing the guys you get along with better and start playing the guys who want to win and have the best talent, otherwise USC should take the same route with football as they did with basketball and hire a up and coming coach rather than a washed up one.

No. He should get 1 more year with the following stipulation. He must win at least 8 regular season games, and 1 of those 8 wins MUST be against Clempson. If he doesn't do that, he retires. If he does win 8 & beat Clempson, he gets to stay another year.

Negative. The University of South Carolina football program should NOT fire Steven Spurrier. That would be a tragic mistake.

SOME OF YOU do not remember the horrible horrible pain of the past 90 years of gamecock football.

We made it to the Outback Bowl without an offensive line, and without much on offense in general.

OK - how about a compromise.

We demand an answer as to why we still aren't recuiting offensive linemen, even though it is obviously the #1 problem, and Spurrier can stay.

Please keep him. Never mind, I guess it doesn't really matter. Columbia is where legends go to die, so what other coach is at the end of his career and looking to establish his son as a head coach?
