So we finally got around to seeing the latest 007 flic, Quantum of Something Or The Other, and it honestly wasn’t all that bad, people.
There was lots of shooting, chasing, bad dialogue and suspended disbelief, but it’s Bond, which means all of those things to be expected.
What was unexpected (and appreciated) was the inventive use of camera angles throughout the movie – especially during the opening car chase scenes and a subsequent foot chase across multiple Italian rooftops.
Also appreciated was the casting of Ukranian beauty Olga Kurylenko, who bless her little Eastern European heart is one of those rare beauties who “doesn’t have a problem with nudity.”
Glasnost + Bond Girls = Mmmmm.
And while we’re keeping it PG-13 around here lest certain government officials refer to us as pornographers again, you can enjoy some of the NC-17 pics here and here.
