Thanks Again, Deadspin
In bringing us this lovely picture of Arizona Cardinals’ defensive tackle Darnell Dockett getting felt up by an NFL Referee in Saturday’s playoff win (the Cards first, like, ever?), our friends over at Deadspin.com also took the opportunity to weigh in on Saturday’s “other game.”
Which, of course, was our beloved Indianapolis Colts’ losing in overtime to new nemesis San Diego.
What’s so cool about that?
Well, they selected our recap of the game to feature in their story, which in addition to jacking our hits through the stratosphere also afforded us the opportunity to contemplate the ridiculousness of all these late night, non-Sunday NFL games.
From Deadspin.com, our favoritest sports website:
Seriously, what is the deal with pushing every important sporting event to the latest, most inconvenient time possible? I missed at least half of the college football games of the week, because my friends got it in their crazy heads that folks should “go out” and “have fun” on Saturday nights.
Would it really cost the NFL money and viewers to show playoff games during the day? People tune in at 1:00 and 4:00 every Sunday, 17 weeks a year, just as they have for the last 79 seasons. I think we’ve established that this pattern suits everyone just fine.
True that.
And isn’t it cool how they say “Seriously (comma)” like we do?
We can relate though. We were up till midnight watching the Colts-Bolts game, which is even more pathetic when you consider that we knew all along Indy was going to choke.
That’s some serious “beauty sleep deprivation,” people, which isn’t good because not everyone can be as handsome as this devil.
Anyway thanks again, Deadspin. Love ya mean it.
