Seriously? You No Jokey?

As difficult as it may be to believe, 7,400 Facebook users are willing to say that about themselves, which is how many people have joined a new club called “Thank You President Bush” as of this morning.

Hold up … somebody actually wrote that sh*t? Somebody who isn’t a white dude from Texas?

Oh wait nevermind … he’s a white dude from Texas.

Anyway, there are a few things we’d like to thank the Worst President Ever for, too … like …

* Not lifting his veto pen once while Republicans became the “Party of Big Government, Too”

* Spending billions of public education dollars to continue leaving millions of children behind

* Trying to fight foreign terrorists by taking away American freedoms

* Running the worst disaster relief effort in the history of humankind

* Taking five years to figure out how to win in Iraq

* Exchanging free market capitalism for Stalinist interventionism … which of course didn’t work

* Being arrogant, stupid and intellectually incurious about how to fix his failures

* Spending nearly 500 days on his ranch – that’s almost a year and a half!

* Consistently pandering to special interests and evangelical nuts

* Gift-wrapping an electoral landslide for the most liberal American politician since FDR

We can think of more, but we … and that’s a pretty decent Top 10.

Look, we’re not saying you should throw shoes at the guy or anything, but there’s precious little about this President to be thankful for.

Update – Oh, and an extra special thanks to the voters of South Carolina for making all of this possible way back in 2000 … yet another example of our awesome education system paying off.
