Jett Travolta Is Dead

The maybe-autistic, maybe-not son of Scientologists John Travolta and Kelly Preston died under suspicious circumstances yesterday while the family was vacationing in the Bahamas.

Sixteen-year-old Jett Travolta apparently had some sort of a seizure and was unable to be revived, although a spokeswoman for the local police force says he died of a wound to the head, ostensibly from “hitting his head in a bath tub.”

No mention of a head wound is found in the official incident report , although an autopsy is planned to determine the exact cause of death.

Jett was widely-rumored to have been autistic, reports the Travoltas vehemently denied in part owing to the fact that the Cult … err, Church of Scientology does not recognize autism.

They claimed he had Kawasaki syndrome, which is a collection of circulatory symptoms that come from swollen arteries.

The Travoltas’ treatment of their son has made headlines in the past, as neighbors have previously accused them of neglect.

The Travoltas’ residence has also been picketed by autism advocates, who claimed that the family’s refusal to treat Jett’s condition amounted to child abuse. Kelly Preston, meanwhile, has picketed against psychiatric drugs on numerous occasions.

Whatever killed Jett, it’s a safe bet that we haven’t heard the end of this story …

In defense of John Travolta, Kelly Preston, Tom Cruise, et. al. — psychiatry definitely needs an overhaul. The medications these shrinks rote-ly prescribe to their patients — e.g., the folks that carried out the Columbine Massacre — need to be seriously questioned. Many of these tortured souls needed simply a little more empathetic TLC and a lot more supervision from their family, rather than the most profitably-prescribed anti-depressants. NOTE TO AGITATORS: Leave the family to the family. They — and you — will be the better for it.

Spicoli – This is true. We prescribe stuff at the drop of a hat for imaginary diseases invented by hypochondriacs (Leary’s point).

We used to think autism was imaginary, too, then the autism moms tied us to a tree and threatened to cut our nuts off.

Seriously, those chicks are crazy.

And with that, we have come full circle.

Don’t mess with a mom with a special needs child. Ever!

Fitsnews and Spicoli what vile disgusting cretins you both are. Autism is NOT imaginary. I have a younger brother with autism! I guess we’re just all making things up for fun. Drop dead! What a shame Father Hubbard is dead otherwise you tossers would be out partying with him now. Losers!

However, I sympathise with the Travoltas. I am so sorry for their loss.
