I have been making calls into Pennsylvania over the past month. I have been talking to County Chairs across the Keystone state. The locals in PA. did think they were very competitive.....the Sept. polls confirmed the feeling....until the Economic meltdown! I do believe that at the time that campaign budgets were decided (Summer 2008) that the GOP prospects looked very bright in many states that ended up turning blue! These same County Chairs that will take the Party into 2009.....felt that at the end of the day that the RNC failed them! Kudos to Katon for recognizing the value of the County organizations.
