No problem having exclusive white southern clubs as long as these good white folks dont complain about blacks having a black cultural center, Asians having their separate clubs or non-white groups sitting together in schools and not mixing with whites..I have found that a significant proportion of white folks who complain about non-white groups segregating themselves in school cafeterias indeed belong to all-white clubs which will not admit any non-white, let alone black. Folks who belong to exclusive clubs based on race have no moral authority to ask other groups to assimilate into mainstream culture.

"before common folks will make their voices heard?"

Stress the work make. Until the masses get a clue and voice a loud enough opinion, instead of bitching to friends and co-workers, yet doing nothing more then acting as a good member of the flock when they hit that VOTE button, nothing will change. Things will have to get a LOT worse before Americans are motivated enough to turn off the PS3 and do something about it. Much easier to go on bitchin'.

It's not black or white or brown or Jewish or Christian--it's elitists vs. the common folks. I don't think Forest Lake represents any expression of real social problems since they're well within their God-given rights, but the networking and flow of OUR tax money that goes on between government agencies, politicians, lobbyists, and corporations is a HUGE problem.

It's politicians like Katon Dawson and Lindsey Graham and their corporate cronies that have left our borders open to terrorists just so some dirt-poor, TB infected illegal aliens can "pluck our chickens" (Graham's term--not mine) working for very low wages and displacing our own citizens.

There are a bunch of folks out there who aren't doing anything about it. How bad does it have to get? Graham and others--Democrats and Republicans--with their corporate welfare, neocon mentality have ruined the economy, let in rapists, murderers, and molesters (along with all those "chicken pluckers")and there's no bottom in sight for the pit we're falling into. How much worse will it get before common folks will make their voices heard?

"growing perception that they have a race problem."

Will, seriously. "Growing perception"? Perceptions can't "grow" if they've been media conventional wisdom since at least the 1960s.

Governor Sanford's commerce secretary joe taylor is a member. Columbia city councilman kirkman finlay is too. Former usc president john palms is a member. Rep james smith's daddy is member.bob pulliam of pulliam ford is member. Governor's mcnair and west were members up until their deaths.

Your beloved nationally syndicated writer kathleen parker and husband of different last name are members.

If you have a copy of the directory and the stones, then publish the entire list. Not that there's anything wrong with being on it.

Lou - your knowledge of Republicans is amazing. So if I am a Republican (which I am), my first wife was of sub-Saharan African descent (which she was), and that we had a daughter together (who I raised alone for years) then I hated my own family, right?

I await your response.
