Captain Munnerlyn Is Dude In Background

In all fairness to South Carolina defensive back Captain Munnerlyn, he’s a pretty solid player who starred on a very solid defensive unit … well, until Florida and Clempsun gutted them for a combined 87 points during the last two games of the season.

And the fact that Munnerlyn is barely outrunning that referee in chasing down Florida’s Percy Harvin shouldn’t scare off the NFL scouts too bad …

From Go Gamecocks.com:

Most folks around the USC program believe junior cornerback Captain Munnerlyn is headed to the NFL after playing in the Outback Bowl.

But the Alabama native said Saturday he has made no definitive plans, yet, and would return to USC for his final season if he hears something “crazy” from the NFL’s advisory committee concerning his draft outlook.

Uhh … how about “that’s loco, esse.”

I would normally agree with you, but Terry Cousin has been in the league for over a decade. He was terrible. Captain Munnerlyn is certainly better than that guy, but I’d guess no better than a 5th rounder.
