First of all, that pic is for you, Sic Willie. If you’re going to make us work on Christmas Eve, we’re going to show pictures of your beloved man-crush Peyton Manning being humiliated.

Anyway, the guy doing the humiliating in that picture is New York Jets’ defensive end Shaun Ellis, who was fined $10,000 today by the NFL for chucking a big chunk of snow at some Seattle fans after the Jets’ 13-3 loss Sunday at Qwest Field.

From Reuters:

After Seattle fans had thrown snow at some Jets players, Ellis responded by throwing some snow toward the fans.

“Shaun Ellis was fined $10,000 for tossing a large snow clump in the direction of fans. Players are notified prior to each season that any contact with fans that potentially presents crowd-control issues and risk of injury is prohibited,” an NFL spokesman said.

Whatever. You can watch the video of Ellis’ offense below, but it’s basically about forty seconds of Jets’ players getting pelted with snowballs before Ellis gently lobs the “large snow clump” (not that kind of snow, Michael Ervin) toward the fans.

Yeah … it’s obvious from this video that he wasn’t trying to hurt anybody, people, whereas fans have been known to pack batteries, ice cubes and other solid items inside the snowballs they throw at players.

If anybody should be fined in this situation, it’s the Seattle Seahawks.
