Montag-Pratt: The AP Is Onto Something
As if the whole relationship between MTV plastic dolls Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt couldn’t get any faker, it turns out that a recent California civil service that was supposed to legitimize their fake Mexican marriage was also … wait for it … totally staged by MTV producers.
From the Associated Press (yes, the friggin’ AP is covering this):
Despite all the official trappings, the tease of legitimate nuptials for the pair may be just that. A Los Angeles Superior Court official said Tuesday that MTV was recently granted permission to shoot in a courtroom in Beverly Hills, but it was done after hours — and that’s not one of their judges sitting on the bench in “The Hills” footage …
… Pratt, 25, and Montag, 22, acknowledged that their Nov. 19 marriage ceremony near Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, was entirely symbolic, despite appearing on the Nov. 26 cover of Us Weekly with the headline “Heidi & Spencer Elope!” Monday’s episode of “The Hills” depicted the pair spontaneously agreeing to exchange vows after downing several shots of tequila.
We have two observations.
First, if at any point MTV should inadvertently pop up on your television screen while you’re flipping through channels, you should immediately put a piece of furniture through it. We don’t often recommend that, but in the long run $3,200 for a new Sony HD set is well worth not suffering through even a nanosecond of the cultural abortion that MTV has become.
Second, is there any real point to Heidi Montag anymore? Well, other than masturbation or sex, the latter you’d pretty much have to refer to as “inter-vaginal masturbation” at this point.

Something very much unintelligible to the average editor after their in-depth digestion of this post…
