Gravure = Glossy

In an effort to provide some faux artistic, cultural pretense for men to feast their eyes on enormously large guadala-ton-tons, the Japanese have come up with the term “Gravure Idol.”

The designation refers to the rotary engraving presses used to make the glossy magazines in which these girls appear, and it’s so super sophisticated that people have come up with all these crazy symbols to explain it.

Wait … that’s just Japanese. Never mind.

“Gravure Idols” do not pose nude, but they do occasionally simulate sex acts, and they’re apparently big into fetish roles ranging from sci-fi to martial arts.

Which we can only assume is categorically awesome.

Anyway, in the interest of faux artistry and culture, we bring you the lovely Nonami Takizawa, one of Japan’s most famous Gravure Idols.

Still pissed about Pearl Harbor? Yeah … we thought not.
