It’s A Piggyback Christmas

Adam Fogle over at The Palmetto Scoop has a hilarious post up on U.S. Congressman Gresham Barrett’s 2008 Christmas card, which can only be described as sheer emotive genius.

In fact, Fogle calls it “the greatest card of all time.”

If you disagree with that … then you obviously can’t appreciate the fine art of the posed photographic piggyback. It truly is the pièce de résistance that sets the Barretts’ Christmas card apart from the rest.

Sure, some may say it’s too reminiscent of that mentally-challenged lad from “There’s Something About Mary” who ran around jumping on everyone’s shoulders. But forget them. Embrace the piggyback.

Look, people. With all due respect to Barrett, even chicks get how gay this is.

For example, Mrs. Sic Willie repeatedly insisted that this Christmas card was “cute,” but then furrowed her brow disapprovingly and said “hell no” when it was suggested she do a similar piggyback pose with our founding editor.

In fairness to her, Sic doesn’t shower that much, but still – posed piggybacks? Somebody get us Norman Rockwell on the phone …
