Did Barack Obama just drop $30,000 on a diamond-encrusted, Rhodium ring for his wife, Michelle? A ring hand-crafted by one of Italy’s most famous designers?
And did he do so simply to say “thank you” for her love and support over the past two years?
The Daily Mail (UK) says yes. Obama’s peeps say hell no.
A spokesman for the jeweler says this:
“Because of reports so wrong and clearly different from the reality of our statements, we decided to not issue [a] statement on this matter.”
Which clears things up immensely.
More importantly, Rhodium? Seriously?
Isn’t that what they put in catalytic converters?

That’s just great. Now people will REALLY believe that O tried to buy this ring. Smooth pr move, idiots. Just tell us what really happened and we’ll go away.

Catalytic converters also use platinum which, like Rhodium, is a precious metal.
