How Bush Sees Himself

Just call him the “Liberator-er.”

That’s what outgoing President George W. Bush thinks his legacy will be, at any rate, the gallant tale of a President who “liberated 50 million people and helped achieve peace,” as well as someone who “did not sell his soul in order to accommodate the political process.”

Bush is probably the only person in the world dumb enough to view himself that way, but whatever.

We’ve already tossed in our two cents on Bush’s legacy, and needless to say it differs dramatically from how the President views himself.

Simply put, Bush’s betrayal of core Republican principles cost his party not one, but two elections.

Frankly, all this guy ever did was “accommodate the political process,” failing to use his veto pen even once while an out-of-control GOP Congress racked up $3 trillion in new debt between 2001 and 2006.

The cherry on the socialist top, of course, was Bush’s “leadership” in passing a $700 billion bailout that basically beheaded capitalism as we know it.

So yeah … Bush may like to think he “liberated 50 million people” in other countries, but he sure as hell enslaved 300 million in this country to a whopping $11.3 trillion in debt.

And what’s even more amazing, Bush single-handedly liberated an entire country, and lived to talk about it; unlike our fallen American brothers and sisters.
