Palin Letting Her Hair Down

Sarah Palin pretty much made our week yesterday when she ditched her McCain-approved Talbot’s pastels (and pseudo-beehive look) for some good ole’ black leather and big hair.

Seriously, we’re digging it … and frankly we’re wondering where the hell this look was during the recently-imploded GOP presidential campaign.

Oh that’s right … Palin probably had to dress with John McCain’s blood pressure (as opposed to a Bon Jovi concert) in mind.

Anyway, in an informal poll taken in Joe the Plumber’s pants, Sarah Palin letting her hair down was deemed a rousing success.

Everything else, as we’ve previously reported, is still up in the air.

As part of her appearance at the Republican Governor’s Association meeting in Miami, though, Palin said that the GOP must return to its core values if it expects to emerge from the political wilderness … although it remains to be seen if Republicans remember what those values are.

Certainly they’ve got the red meat they like to throw to social conservatives down pat, but their fiscal record has been “guaranteed stinky,” to borrow a term from FITS’ official exit pollster.

Hence the current banishment, which another pollster, Frank Luntz, told Palin and her colleagues was the worst GOP ass-whooping in consecutive elections since 1930 and 1932.

And while that may suck for Republicans, it doesn’t make Palin any less boneworthy.

Speaking of which, here’s profile view of Palin’s new look from the New York Times … and yeah, we can totally see that on a U.S. quarter, people.

Oh, we threw in a couple recent shots of her legs, too, which we commend the mainstream media for taking.

I hate to admit it, but she is darn-well spoken. Much easier on the ears than that thick as molasses/Foghorn Leghorn accent of Haley Barbour.

This media “crush” may fade — or the rest of those gov’s might find a way to snuff it. They couldn’t get a word in edgewise with her around yesterday.

Is it just Hillary guilt? Like the white guilt that supposedly got Obama elected?

The $100 question I need answered before she gets my undying loyalty and support:

Bare floor or shag carpeting?

She is a walking shallow sound bite. She has no answers to any of our country’s problems-
The idea that anyone can find her intellectually ready to lead our country is very, very depressing.

She has had her few months of fame – let’s move on.

Watched her interview with Greta Von Sustern….We’ve had many years of washington insiders, lawyers, politicians….time for change. If we can elect Hussein….I vote for Palin, someone that understands that the beltway is not all of America. Nothing I saw or have heard has made me change my mind about her, better her than the foggy swamp critters….
