We hate it when we’re put in the awkward position of having to make fun of somebody dying. Seriously, it’s so inconsiderate when people perish in a way that invites humor.
Like the woman who committed suicide via a prescription drug overdose outside of Paula Abdul’s house yesterday – who was apparently a former American Idol contestant.
Seriously, lady. We wanna feel sorry for you … but c’mon.
This isn’t exactly the sort of thing that makes us want to put Oasis’ “Stop Crying Your Heart Out” on our iPods.
Jay-Z’s “Wonderwall” maybe …
Anyway, we’re obviously kidding. This is sad on multiple levels. For example, take this quote from the woman’s American Idol tryout:
“I really like Paula Abdul a lot. She’s really cool . . . I’m like a really big fan and I make life-size drawings of Paula. I’ve been drawing ever since I was a little kid, and my first drawing was of Paula Abdul.â€
Seriously? Our first drawing was a bunch of minimalist lines, people. Except without the organizing force of minimalism.
Anyway, this was clearly a troubled young woman who we certainly hope is in a better place now. And let’s be honest, odds are pretty much anywhere is an improvement over Paula Abdul’s driveway …

Paula’s kindness went a long way — but not far enough. Professionals could have been utilized long before things came to this.
This from the “professionals” that the chick that stole Glenn Beck’s spot had on last night.
