“Sit Down And Shut Up … Or Else”
It’s obviously going to be a long time before a female politician earns a leadership position in Bobby Harrell’s “GOP-controlled” S.C. House of Representatives. It could also be a long time before anybody in that chamber raises their voice again on an issue that Harrell hasn’t “pre-approved.”
The Speaker – who was elected by the Democrats and has consistently governed like a Democrat – continues to pander to his big government establishment buddies, not only cutting off conservative reforms at the knees, but now overtly threatening to bury conservative reformers if they get out of line.
Evidently, that’s what it takes to keep pushing his command economic vision for South Carolina.
Take Harrell’s evolving vendetta against conservative Rep. Nikki Haley, which jumped to a higher energy level this morning.
Not satisfied with denying Haley the chairmanship of one of South Carolina’s most influential economic development committees (he’s turning it over to an alcoholic, racist, redneck RINO instead), Harrell is now threatening to send his conservative “antagonist” deep into the “legislative wilderness.”
Where is that, exactly?
It’s called the Medical, Military, Public and Municipal Affairs committee – or “3M” to State House insiders – and it’s basically where lawmakers are sent to be punished.
For example, when one lawmaker physically attacked one of his colleagues several years ago over the election of judges, his punishment was a one-way ticket to 3M.
“Bobby is saying to Nikki ’sit down and shut up or else,’” a source told us. “3M is banishment.”
The idea to “banish” Haley apparently comes from outgoing House Majority Leader Jimmy Merrill, who is definitely earning his reputation for dirty insider attacks as he carries Harrell’s water in this fight.
Haley was unavailable for comment on the threatened demotion, but we’ve heard that several conservative groups (and women’s groups) are up in arms over this latest effort to put her in her place, and that some of them may not hold their tongues on the issue much longer.
Stay tuned … this drama is obviously only beginning to heat up …

So, sic(k) willie, exactly who are you calling an “alcoholic racist”?
Name names when you slander people. Don’t hide behind links to old cr@p that you planted. That is cowardly and reflects your lack of confidence in your allegations. Name names! Give us proof!
And you use the term “redneck” like it’s a bad thing. Why?
The term “RINO” is worn out useless right wing wacko rhetoric.
But calling someone an “alcoholic” and “racist” can get you attention from the Boys From Charlotte. They love that. It adds up. Have they been following you again? If you own any property or a car, you may want to put in your wife’s name. Or in your Momma’s name since your wife is so unhappy.

I’ve talked to Nikki Haley about her efforts and I support them fully. Hers is a principled stand against blatant corruption in SC politics.
She was the only Republican incumbent I voted for (I was in a “throw the bums out” mentality) in the recent elections due to her stand on this issue and her patience and willingness to directly talk to the people she serves.

If I remember correctly, Rep. Haley started out on 3M. While she was there, she made made that committee work and brought light to a podiatry bill that had floundered for years. I think Mr. Harrell needs to wise a up and realize it doesn’t matter what committee she is on, she will always shine because her beliefs are conservative, fair, logical, and on most occassions impartial to party.
