Not This Douchebag Again

By fitsnews • on November 10, 2008

Like a bad penny - or a used diaper - former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is back on the political scene.

Having failed miserably in his quest to purchase the 2008 Republican presidential nomination, the master of social conservative flip-floppery is already positioning himself for a run 2012 - and trashing anybody who’s standing in his way.

In fact, former Romney staffers hired by the presidential campaign of John McCain (hmmm … no wonder he got his ass kicked so bad) are now reportedly attacking Sarah Palin, hoping to knock her out of 2012 contention early.

Also, Romney loyalists here in South Carolina are reportedly attacking SCGOP Chairman Katon Dawson, too, with instructions to knock him out of the National Party Chairman race.

All this infighting, of course, takes place while Democrats are divvying up the spoils of a second consecutive electoral victory, which this time includes the White House.

Republicans are - as we’ve said for years now - hopelessly effed, people. Which means they won’t be allowed anywhere near the power strings for quite some time.

Nor should they be.

After totally betraying the fiscal conservatism their party was founded on, how long the GOP remains in the wilderness depends on how quickly they realize what got them there in the first place.

Either way, it’s gonna take the GOP a lot more than Romney’s good hair and bottomless wallet to get voters’ trust back.

FITS: please explain who the Romney loyalists now consists of. I thought he fired them all. Second, why are they against Katon. Not all of us are insiders and need help understatnding the mess.

Well, lets see how Chief Douchebag Obama handles his first year in office. So far his campaign people says he will RULE from day one. I thought rulers were in Africa. And so far the Fed is covering up for banks to the tune of 2 tillion dollars (yea a lot more than the original 700 billion) and they won’t say which banks they are playing cover for. So yep. Douchebag Obama has a lot of work to do. Romney… He can vacation.

Mitt Romney is a fiscal conservative with private sector experience. That’s more than can be said of any other 2008 presidential prospect, especially Huckabee and Palin.

I’m going to wait this one out…ie, wait until FITSNews falls behind the fiscal conservative over the next four years, just like it fell behind Sen. DeMint. I predict that fiscal conservative candidate will be Mitt Romney.

Sic, you know (as well as anyone else that follows state politics) that Adam Fogle probably fabricated his “very good sources” to promote the interests of his employer, Richard Quinn & Associates. It’s a bit too ironic that Adam, despite all his self-righteous posts about open reporting and anonymous bloggers, chose to cite unnamed sources.

It ain’t former Romney staffers. It’s Trey and the RQA bunch doing the nasties, breaking ground for LOG’s 2012 Presidential loss.

Romney sure does look like a douchebag but I like him. I believe that ol’ Willie still has a grudge from being on the losing end of being up Huckaby’s fanny. I guess Huckaby did pretty well in SC, though right?
