Let’s face it, rape victims rarely get pregnant, and even rarer is the fact that pregnant rape victims want an abortion.

These signs are wrong. It makes me sad to see either side get into this sort of thing.

And on the Howard Rich front, that’s fair game where it’s relevant, but I don’t get the impression that Mick Mulvaney is a hardline follower of that movement. As Will points out, Mulvaney is an intelligent guy. My guess is that there are elements of school choice proposals he favors, but that he isn’t whole-hog about it on the fronts that are illogical. So, anyway, I’m not sure the Howard Rich bashing applies here.

Thanks for the picture, Will. Those anti-Mulvaney signs about rape victims are ridiculous. If Roe was overturned, abortion wouldn’t be illegal, it would simply go back to the states and to the democratic process, where it belongs.

This is why liberal judges are so dangerous — because they don’t really care about what the Constitution actually says. They insist there’s no personal right to bear arms — even though it’s right there in the Second Amendment. Then they insist there’s somehow a right to an abortion (and thus, that the fetus is not allowed to have any rights) even though the Constitution is utterly silent on the issue (in which case, the Tenth Amendment clearly leaves the issue to the states to decide.) Pro-life and pro-choice people ought to be able to agree on this. The guy who wrote the dissent in Roe v. Wade (Justice Byron White) was actually pro-choice. But he knew that this divisive issue is better left to the states to handle than for nine lawyers in black robes in Washington, DC.
