McCain On SNL

Two weeks after his vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live, GOP presidential nominee John McCain and his wife Cindy stopped by the show last night, with McCain poking fun at his maverick status and his campaign’s lack of money.

“I’m a true Maverick,” McCain said during his appearance alongside Palin impersonator Tina Fey. “A Republican without money.”

McCain and Fey’s skit was actually pretty funny, as the pair hawked imaginary QVC items in an effort to raise money for their campaign.

Among the items was “McCain Fine Gold,” which the candidate’s wife Cindy showed off, and a collection of empty commemorative plates for each of the Town Hall-style meetings that McCain proposed – and Obama rejected.

Toward the end of the skit, Fey references the recent McCain-Palin advisors’ spat by declaring that she’s “going rogue.”

She then holds up a “Palin 2012″ t-shirt and declares that she’ll either run for President in four years or “be the white Oprah.”

“What are you doing over there, Sarah?” McCain asks her.

“Oh, just talking about taxes,” Fey answers with a wink to the camera.

Ron,

Just cause you have a crush on a woman doesn’t mean she should be president.

If she was ugly or old or actually had credible policy ideas , you would not be rooting for her to run for an office in 4 years.

Buy a playboy and get over it.
