Another National Embarrassment

Already well-known for having the worst public schools in the nation, South Carolina is now getting nationwide attention for trying to cheat its way out of the cellar.

This week, the New York Times has picked up the scandalous (and sad) story of MiShawna Moore, the former Charleston, S.C. principal currently under criminal investigation over academic fraud allegations at two Lowcountry schools.

You can read the Times story by clicking here, and while the article is certainly steeped in annoyingly-PC cultural revisionism, it nonetheless hits the high points in this sad saga of broken trust and false hope.

We first became aware of the brewing scandal surrounding Ms. Moore two months ago after some brilliant investigative reporting by the lovely and talented Diette Courrégé of the Charleston Post and Courier.

You can read Diette’s stories that blew open this now-national scandal by clicking here and here.

In fact, we were on our way to Halifax County, N.C. to attempt to interview Ms. Moore for ourselves recently when Courrégé broke the story that she had been placed on administrative leave by her new employers.

It’s true this scandal is likely to end up being another national black eye for our state, but thank God reporters somewhere are actually asking questions and not just kissing the education establishment’s rear end every chance they get …

What a curious photo selection by sic(k) willie. Notice he combines race baiting with his chubby fetish. All in one photo.

But on a more intellectual level let’s “move on,” so to speak.

As always sic(k) willie’s “national inquirer” mentality totally misses the real embarrassment to SC which is the “minimally adequate” standard our Legislature has set for educating children.

For a spooky from Howie’s SC propaganda minister check our link. Randy reminds out staff of this- http://davelandweb.com/gallery/images/WickidWitch1.jpg

BIN-

Your brilliance continues to amaze our readers … that’s a picture of MiShawna Moore, the principal emroiled in this scandal.

Of course, Sic Willie refuses to confirm or deny having a chubby fetish.

Don’t know why you didn’t pick up on the sloppy reporting by the Times on this story. Charleston County School District is not 98% black, it is 60% minority. And 20% of the kids in Charleston are not below the poverty line, 51% are. That being said, Charleston has the best performing public schools in South Carolina and the worst. Easily the most dramatic spread of demographic, from Sullivan’s Island Elementary to Sanders-Clyde. One being 99% white, the other 98% black.

Trey-

Remember your last point when educrats start claiming that choice would “re-segregate” public schools.

They’re already re-segregated.

We know who is in the photo, sic(k) willie.

How exactly does linking the very picture (of the subject of the story) used by the NYT happen to be inappropriate, much less race baiting?

Yeesh…dumbass.

In response to FITS comment on my comment. Charleston is not the right example to bring up in re segregation discussions. Charleston county was never integrated. They were one of the few systems in the country to sue, defend and win against The Justice Department in the efforts to created unified school districts in the 1960’s. Charleston argued that natural boundary of the Ashley and Cooper rivers made transportation of children difficult in Charleston County. As a result, Charleston was left with bifurcated powers between 8 regional attendance areas and school boards.

The result of this 45 years later is a system that has downtown Charleston with an nearly 98% black population and Mt. Pleasant, just across the bridge, with what is easily SC’s best performing school district were it independent and separate.

Nothing else like it in SC or the country for that matter. But…what would you expect from Charleston, which is much more a city state than a part of South Carolina.

Here’s hoping Charleston secedes from South Carolina. I’ll not miss the putrid aroma of horse dung-filled streets nor the fanatical senator mcconnel who can now annoint herself a governor (something she’s always lusted to be).

“South Carolina is now getting nationwide attention for trying to cheat its way out of the cellar.”

Wow, Will. That’s some statement. How many public schools are there in SC? Maybe a thousand (that’s just a wild guess)? And this one school’s scandal means our entire state — or, our entire public school system — is “trying to cheat its way out of the cellar”?

That’s a bit much, even for this site.

And I support killing babies and putting the ones who avoid the coat hanger into SC public schools only to ensure that they have a bright future at Wal-Mart and Burger King.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. SIC(k) willie can recognize fake posts. Yet he allows the unwashed to pretend to be members of our staff.

Another low sic(k) willie. The REAL BIN News Editorial Staff has noted your lack of professionalism. Again. And again. And again. And we remember.

Everyone honest knows that the real issues facing public education in SC include the pitiful “minimally adequate” standard set by our Republican Legislature, the latent racism, the poverty and related social ills that sic(KO) willie refuses to admit. He’s blinded by money from Howie and SCRG.

And he continues to pump up his hit count with fake posts. But things are changing. See you at the polls Tuesday, sic(k) willie.

BIN,

What are you real at? Deception? Congratulations.

BIN News is “real.” Our staff is growing. Or readers are growing. In a few weeks we may even have a paid advertiser. That would be 100% more that sic(k) willie.
